With all the neccessary software freely available anyone can create a webpage. The trick however is to create a website that appeals to your specific audience. Do you really need that image or flash gadget? Do you have to use that much text? How often do you need to add text or switch images?

 

The basis of website design is planning. You need to find the answers to fundamental questions like:

  • Do I need to be visible on the internet?

    • If I do:
  • What is my pimary goal? (e.g. I want to sell products, I want to entertain people or I want to inform people
  • Who is my audience?
  • Who are my competitors?
